A sonnet to the business

Juggling between PR work, challenges of production and now a brand, means having to be in a ____ (insert adjective) interaction with several individuals with personalities varying from super supportive to wannabe domestic goddess-like. Even though I've had a break from them these past few weeks, due to my law education (= dealing with a different sort of cranky people), they're back, this time even stronger :). I realize I'm very young to be in a business I'm in, but that doesn't mean I'm any less capable or even experienced as my older colleagues are. While most people I am in a contact with tend to treat me with respect and all seriousness, a few still like to think of my visual apperance simply as a shell and assume I'm just a shy girl in skinny jeans under all of that (I apologize if the comparisment is insulting) - and that's almost a quote. The second group usually comes with a lack of up-to-date ideas, an army of back-up people who don't know anything about the industry they work in and a repeating and disappointing vocabulary. Here's a list of top 10 most annoying sentences you might hear from an editor, designer...

1. "Listen to me, you are all young, you have to understand.."

No, lady, you listen to ME. I have been blessed with a couple of folks I call my parents who have involved me in every part of their business life since I was 3. Diplomatic visits, demanding hotel guests and the blood of the publishing business - I've seen it all. I still have traumatic dreams from the 10 years my mother dedicated to organizing the biggest fashion events in Slovenia. I am young. But I do understand. So no patronizing monologues, SVP.

2. "We can't pay you, but, we'll write your name."

Of course you will, it's called copyright law.

3."What have you been working on lately, you can tell me, who better to understand you?"

My grandmother, for example.

4. When youactually order something at a work lunch. "Oh, thank god, you're not a model." No, I'm not. I'm only 165cm. And my waist is 58cm. So zip it, will

ya, you rude, double chined person?

5."You're so pretty, why aren't you a model?/We liked your backstage photos better, why aren't you a photographer." Because being the boss is so much more fun. And looking pretty while wearing a bikini in cold rain isn't my

primal focus of interest.

6."You probably make a lot of money." Our budget for this project is 100€ and the dry cleaning for the gowns costs 200€.

7."You spend your time surrounded by beautiful people." Well I guess there is a quite obvious difference in our tastes :D I prefer my men dark and masculine. So, if the person you're talking about isn't Tyson Ballou ...or David Gandy...there's no trouble breathing in my rib cage.

8. "Do you go to those wild parties after shoots and all?" Reputation, responsabilities and rest. Go and hate me now.

9. "I have to be comfortable when I work."

Then get yourself some kitten heels. You're a stylist, not a soldier for Wintour's sake.

10. "I'm a couture designer."

You make leggings because you don't know how to tailor real pants.

Voila. Top 10. If you wish to hate me or call me whatever name you wanna call me, please do. But note, that these are the words in your mind or on the menu when gossiping with friends. :) I just prefer making an article out of them.

2. Dec the 30th was my birthday, the 20th, but the first one that was fun. Morning with friends, afternoon with grandpa, evening / ballet night with mum. Very few words today, more when the December spirit goes away. Oh if I only was a leo, an August birthday would be so much cooler. And life easier. Us capricorns, pain in the tooshie. ;)

It was one of those days Hollywood makes movies after. You know, the kind that you love to watch because those days could never happen to you. Guess what. They do happen. They aren't about lottery wins or falling in love desperately. They are about the small things a stranger could never notice.

I ate cereal for breakfast today. All organic blah blah, but with little pieces of hardened yogurt. I never get those pieces. Today I did. The right amount. Smile. I turned on my usual playlist. Lola. Bingo.

Shop no. 1. How you doin' ms Kazič. All prepaired. Orange juice. The way to treat a customer. Win.

Shop no. 2 You can look in the back if you wish to, we're getting new stuff on Monday, we'll be in touch...

Imagine a fast forward now, things getting better and better. Producing photo shoots ain't that bad afer all.

Nina Šušnjara: Every time I think this young lady has just reached her max, I get slapped in the face - there's better to come. She no longer is the designer of ex-beauty queens (you know, a few years behind trends, well executed but a bit cheap looking) - she left her Uggs to..well beauty queens and became fine comparesment to a drop-dead stilleto in bad weather conditions. Long live Šušnjara. Just...may we looe the Burberry spirit? Leather sleeves are to obvious.

Maja Ferme: Hm...what's her deal? Oh yeah, she's my favourite. ; ) Maja Ferme always had this flaw. She's a part of the generation, influenced by hello 2001 cuts, bleached hair and bad fitting waists, who wasn't able to turn these things into a new trend. Oh wait, she just did. Kudos. And I've found my wedding dress. For a small wedding ;), of course. I don't want to talk about the pants and Givenchy look-a-likes, I'm too overwhelmed by the sparkle of the dress to be.

Nataša Hrupič: My notes say: "Not my cup of tea. Green shirt - put it on Asos and make a million bucks." Money is good. Nataša looks 20. Good..good match.

Elle stylists: Congratz, but the wrong winner.

Aleksandra Brlan: Can't really be objective here, since she's my co-worker. I believe the collection was much appreciated for she was the only one to also present men's wear. Te outfit below reminded me of Rochas at first but then I heard a comment from a man sitting behind me, a far more appropriate one: "Signature Slovene design." Yes.

Vladimira Kralj: ...is going to sell a lot. Just stay away from looking for inspiration in high street stores. Exact copies of Lanvin for H&M (and Valentino) aren't the "it" thing to do this season.

Tanja Zorn: I can't be the judge here, for I don't know much about about sportswear. At least I hope it was meant to be sportswear.

Mango: Was this a joke? Why don't you put Zara on the runway next year?! Replicas of Gucci and Stella McCartney are not Fashion Week. Big no. Talking bout changing a time of changes, money isn't everything..

m*faganel: One just can't say a bad word, about him, huh? Besides the fact he's so nice you wanna take him home and put him on your bed like he's a plastic doll (I highly hope this didn't sound wrong), he knows what he's doing. Power clothes for power women. There's an instant formula for success going on + you could recognize his work with a blindfold on. And the purple was pretty amazing. There is just one thing still bothering me. I have seen this dress before. My lips are sealed.

Edit: Just spoke to Matevž Fagane. He told me he had the sketch a long time ago. Which I, as a potential buyer appreciate very much. It shows he does style, not trends.

Farandula: My notes say "nice". My mind says forgetable. Unfortunately. Cuz I know there was some nice pink...

Pletenine Draž: Not my cup of tea, but a brand so consistent and with a know-how of such execution gets an allaroundeve award.

Firma by Sanja Grcič: You can kill me for saying this but oh well. I expected nothing. And got a faster heart beat. Do you dig DSquared, Galliano and some hipster on your feet? Yeah, here you go. Put this on any runway on this planet and I'll be proud to say I'm Slovene.

Almira Sadar in Niti Niti: I was a fan of Almira a few years ago, before the weird minimalism meets innovative design era and I'm back in the fan base! For Jil Sander lovers, preferably the ones who are hooked on comfy ..and white pants. What a mix.

There is a bowl of fun to come, the reviews of day 1's fashion shows was just the foreplay.

Perfectly tailored, made to measure, zipper hidden in the left pocket and yet I avoided it for quite a while, even though it probably fitted me when I was 12. I think it had something to do with the Serena effect, you know..when something looks good on Blake Lively you're just like oh hellz no, commercial, put it away. Serena ain't no princess after all!

We went to Kristina Lovko's fashion show which was absolutely lovely - not a thing you hear from me very often. I'd also like to compliment the choice of models. Choosing Lara Pirc, who's way to tiny to be on a runway but to beautiful to stay off of it. Keep working on those evening dresses, simplicity + glamour is YOUR way to go.

Since the fashion show was officially a part of Month of Design, I got there a bit earlier and was able to take some more, not so hectic shots. Like..of models eating chocolate (gotcha!). + Sorry Klara and Ana for taking so many pics of you, but ya know ya love it!

@Friday evening's event of Month of Design.
Here's the problem with me and colours. My usual colour palette consistsof black + nude / golden / grey. When I start putting together an oufit by choosing let's say purple I get out of control. At the end I just look like a darn parrot. Remember this? Exactly. This is the same scarf, worn as a skirt.
I knew I wanted to go all silky and shiny and oh surprise surprise I had those massive earrings I haven't worn in a while. The scarf was wraped around it and I immediately thought of my good friend Urška. Her combos are often based on what's hanging together. Not my cup of tea, I thought back then but you never know... I must admit I'm not the most creative person when it comes to clothes (I'd just wear dela Renta suits and pallazos all the time) so a random picture I've found in my inspo folder came as a great help. A Cavalli skirt in my mind, some wraping and tucking into my pantyhose (it's rude to laugh! :D) ... parrot!

You probably all know by now I'm collaborating with Month of Design which on Thursday noon ment I was a spectator + an employee. Slovene fashion bloggers visiting? So: Yesterday, Fashion.si, bloggers, Aljoša Bagola - creative director of Pristop, round table, me and Anže looking like we just got married (the city hall was 40 m away so what the hell), my photographer Misha Tratnjek - so lovely it hurts - yes she took these pics, yes she's too cool, again, Month of Design started today (workworkwork but Misha is shooting the evening event so I'm highly optimistic. I'm such a party pooper. When I (on rare occasions) decide to go out, I start yawning at midnight. I'm also quite of a sociopath, which doesn't make things any better. Last night was the first one in years I really enjoyed. Beeeeeaucoup of people that I know (and actually like/love/at least not dislike, how bout that), a comfy outfit (don't laugh) and a wide spectrum of music: Chinawoman's concert, dancing our asses off in Tiffany (yeah google that and see where we party :D. Do not.) aaaand some K4+Danza Macabra for the big finish. I am in pain and I do want to do it again, for I am 19 years old and have a mother that is secretly desperate because her daughter never really was a kid like she was/is supposed to be. Next party is for you mommy and you are coming with me.

Ohh nr. 2: I think there are gonna be a whole lot of questions like What are you on? etc. (I just always get em, probably because I'm one happy bunny jumping around) sooo let me brake it down. I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do drugs of any kind, no no no, I also don't have anything against stimulators of any kind + people using them - it' simple - I just don't do it. Like some people don't have a physical need for working out or veggies (that's my drug ;)), I don't need to hold a glass of wine in my hand to have a good time. First of all I'd be drunk after a sip :D, second - being drunk sucks, third - I could spend my money on better stuff..what else..? Yeah, dancing all night long gives me enough of a hangover, it's not ladylike, I'm a control freak..

My only critique goes to people who need to get drunk to have fun or to get courageous. That's a sign of weakness. I'm not sure how to put it in a prettier mixture of words.

I appologize if I've offended someone, but please understand people constantly asking me why can get quite annoying. ;) It's like spinach. I wanna "do" it once a week : ) and you maybe don't. And that's ok. Sober, drunk or high - respect.

Oh and about the title... Rihanna reference much, yup.

Yesterday's exhibiton opening was colourful in all aspects. Ivan Hrkaš, the artist - a romatic without an excuse was the subject of my interview and a person I will soon be collaborating with on a superduper project (BIG - link on the right). He talks with so much enthusiasm, I got affraid I'll pysically get sucked in. Can't imagine how you can get into someone or their words but anywayz..let's leave it like this, it's a personal blog after all. Another fascinating thing about him is the energy he lets out. It's highly pacifying, yet creatively stimulating. That's for the words. I'll publish the interview on my FB page tomorrow. Now for the clothes, since this is what mostly brings you here (naughty, naughty readers, other kinds of education are importaint too!)..

Month of Design is inviting is writing a special fashion story this year – by inviting most significant Slovene fashion bloggers. Over 30 clothing, textile and accessory designers - Zoran Garevski (Garevski), Nataša Peršuh, Young@Squat, Nataša Hrupič, Jelena Prokovič (JSP), Sanja Grcić (Firma), Mateja Krofl (Farandula), Neli Štrukelj (I-bag), Urša Habjan, Aleksandra Atanasovski (Aleatta) – just to name a few, are going to join them in a productive chit chat about upcoming and everlasting trends, clever and beautifully useless design and much more.

All shall be accompanied by a delicious cup of Turkish coffee. Bloggers are going to bring their cups with them, for a special cup carries a special story with it. We are going to exhibit both – the cups and the stories as an improvised, yet non-random intervention at Design Expo.

Let's not talk bout clothes today. Even though I could add some words on my mother being the best pro shopper ever, which (yes) - has to do a lot with this outfit. I'd like to say thank you today. First, to my parents. Cuz the cool as The Arctic. Grandparents. For teaching me values. Eva S. For sharing the tears. My law history professor. For giving me hope in the instiution again. My boss, and the awesome new crew. We're gonna make magic happen. Thank you for believing in me for no reason. People from the Happy Design Workshop. I now know how to use Adobe Illustrator. A bit. Guys from Bi-Ko-Fe. A drink always comes with an extra smile. Maša. All I can do when pple ask me where I got those Balmain shades (wearing them in this post) is smile. It wouldn't matter if they were from a 99cent shop. I got them from someone with a heart so good, it's probably symmetrical. And finally..Cedevitin. I don't see him often, but he's got a special little terrace in my heart and when I said I needed help with my blog, he responded instantly and without hesitations. We sat down and renewed my blog in two hours. So now, after 14h of the busiest day of my life my eyes are still smiling. I hope his will too when he reads this, for people like him make gossiping a crime and hurting one a matter of life sentence.

Me and Petja, whom you probably already know (the lovely modelly brunette) just came back from a cool event, that my Slovene readers might find interesting. Re-opening of Vintage Divas Store with their new collection of fall wear took place on Mesarska (Poljane, Ljubljana) - you can't really miss the place, it's the first thing on the left. I totally feel like describing it with lovely even though I already used the word, but oh well - it is! When people think vintage, they usually mean 2nd hand. Polyester and cheap ill-fitting stuff from the 80's, all packed up in a smelly basement. Au contraire! Men's wear, Valentino, quality, pearls, fine tailoring.. those ladies sure know how to set the standard where it should be. High.

More specifically like Carolina Herrera's SS11 collection, which is one of the few RTW I've ever checked out completely. An obvious combo of the most common elements of my wardrobe, so one could assume it took me 10 mins to put it together. W-rooong. More like an hour and a half - it was pretty hard to decide on the appropriate amount of allaroundeve's finest for an opening of a store and quite the opposite for a hip-hop concert. If you're not familiar with Klemen Klemen, think uncommercial, funny as hell, and me saying "dude, dat so truuue". I was also in great company. Petja and Suš made me leak a few drops. And no I am NOT writing a book on you know what, you guuuuys.

Hola/Hi/Bonjour etc., no I wasn't on a vacation, I studied like an idiot in case one for my professors is reading this. Things are getting back to normal = I have my manic laughing face back = allaroundeve izzz aliiiveee so stop sending me e-mails to check that I'm not dead :D very much alive, but thank you for the concern : )!

So as you can see there is some jean action going on on those pics. Yeah. Bout that. Since the weather is obnoxious here - changing during the day and I had too many too different errands to take care of I raided my inspo folder big time. It came down to a Kors/Battaglia like secretary or an Olsen. 1:0 for MKA - I've never worn an outfit that's completely copied actually, so this was a first time. I decided to stick to it and wore a tighter shirt with a purple pattern in the morning but changed it later - due to people starring at my curves which made me feel like a Kardashian = average, trying hard to be hot, not good. My official outfit for my working summer was a sweat-dress or a pair of chinos paired with a huge shirt on a few rare occasions when I went out of the house. The baby pink (a much stronger colour in person) shirt combo is a tribute to the not-so-fun summer I had. Oh and by the way, pls mind the bag ;)

You know this BB? If you go through my entire blog, you might notice she's something like an alter ego of mine, who pops up on from time to time. Well she's been poppin up this summer quite a lot, so my wardrobe (which has been changed a bit - new in, old out) now consists of a few more quirky pieces like these red suit pants, pointy-toe flats, you know the "Betty Draper would wear that" kind of stuff. Well because if I had to choose an icon that represents pride, intelligence and overall is a true lady I'd choose her without thinking twice aaaand because she wore this recently and it reminds me of this a lot, so pretty much every similarity to her makes me do a victory dance, high five my self etc.

I do/use around 5 different turban styles, but I always modify them so I almost never have the same thing on my head twice. The choice of the style is simply based on the shape of the scarf.
The scarf I'll be using today is a rectangle - 2m x 37cm.

Basic pointers:

- NEVER EVER tie the turban like it's a corset. It should be tied so gently it feels like a scrunchie.

- DO NOT make big strong knots. Ouch. Your head will start hurting.

- Use light materials. And by that I do not mean a pashmina. Unless it's winter. But even if it is winter, you will want to wear a material that would easily adapt to sudden temperature changes. Think of the turban as a piece of clothing (cuz that's what it is). A leather shirt would be highly unpractical, right?

- Wearing a turban will force you into taking care of your hair more, paying more attention to how your body really feels, not how it should act (everybody should be freezing in December by default - not true). You are wrapping up your locks cuz they're as close to magic as they can get, they are precious. But I ain't gonna talk about the reasons today (that's in "Answers 3" :)), let's just focus on the execution. Wash your hair with warm water. Extreme temperatures would cause an itchy scalp, dandruff and fuzzy hair. Don't brush your hair when they're still soaking wet. Tie them with care. No pain when you try to make grimaces, that's the rule.

Turban tying:

1. Tie your hair gently in a bun, no matter what kind of turban you'll be making. Wrap a very light (and smaller) scarf around it to get volume, if your hair's not already long enough to form a nice big round shape. (this pic is going to be the beginning of every tutuorial I'll make, yes, that's why the blue, my fav :D ) Chose a height that sort of continues the jaw line. Use basic hair pins if you have to. These damage your hair more.

2. Place the middle part of the scarf on the back of your head. Cross in the front.

3. Cross in in the back. This time the crossing shoud be done slightly closer to the bun.

4. Make a very light knot close to the bun and tuck the ends in.

5. Voila.

What are your measurements, height, weight and body type?
I am answering this ONLY because I know this person and I expected this question :D
My measurements are 92-58-92 cm, I'm 165cm and weight approximately 51 kg. On a good day. And my body type could be described as bootylicious. As the one who asked once called it. Happy? :D

Do you have a boyfriend, husband, kids?
No, no, no hahah. How old do you think I am? :D Well, I'm 19, single, not a mommy, not pregnant and yes, people normally think I'm older. A lot older - so don't worry about it.

What's your favourite colour?
Blue and green. Turquoise and everything in between. When I see something, it's not the basic colour I like. It's the exact shade. On a specific texture. On a specific object. In a specific combination.

Favourite group or singer / movie?
Demolition Group. Listening to Pamoja - Oooh, Baby right now :). Movie.. I'm gonna have to go with Pulp Fiction. Cheesy, je sais. Or Eurotrip, if you now expect me to act like I'm 19 :P.

I noticed some french words, do you speak le francais?
Oui.

How much make-up do you use on daily basis?
No make-up. Having "paint" on my face makes me feel like I have.. paint on my face :D. So on special occasions I put on some foundation, use black eyeliner..that's pretty much it. Mom usually forces me to wear some lip gloss. Icky.

Do you get a lot of attention when you walk down the street? If so, is it positive or negative?
Well... I do get quite some. The reactions are mostly very positive and flathering. The negative comments usually come from people I know and.. well they are just so expected it's not even funny :D. I laugh at them anyway.

Do people recognize you on the street?
It's a small country so..yes.

How do you feel about Anna Wintour?
She's not a fashion icon and an editor, she's a style icon and a great businesswoman.

Can you do a turban tutorial?
Of course.

How do you stay fit?
Sit-ups and pretty basic stuff every day twice, I get around the city (Ljubljana) by bike, I do some running and I am obssesed with healthy food (celebrity diet strict-like healthy) which is probably the outgrowth of my body not being the most tolerant thingy ever. I'm just used to it. And can't imagine myself eating pork chops. Or drinking soda. Ugh.

Do you smoke?
Nope. Don't drink either. And yes, I constantly get asked why :D. My answer is usually: "Do you like brussels sprouts? No? Would you do pill testing?" Nope. Cuz you don't like it, it doesn't do nothing good to you or people around you." Simple. And I have a mini phobia of addictions. And when I do something I do it obssesively. But that's not the main reason. It's just not ladylike. And it's a bad excuse.
I have smoked a cigarette and alcohol has touched the inside of my stomach before btw.

Flats or heels?
Heels.

What's the best feeling?

Jackson sisters. Guessing a familliar smell. Plane taking off. The peacefullness of a desert. Finding yourself. Winning. Uplifting energy going through your third eye.

Yes. But not as much as I am interesed in law. Ubi societas, ibi ius. - Where there is society, there is law.

Why does fashion change every 6 months and how do you feel about it?

(I always wanted to be asked that :P) An expected answer? Because it's broken. How I really feel about it? Inconsistency feels like a positive and much used term when explaining how the world has simply changed since 1950. We, the people are the only ones to blame. We chose other priorities. Technological development has brought us a faster way communicating which makes the world "turn" faster which again puts our expectations on steroids which gets us more and more improved stuff - faster. And of less quality. Because quality also was a value which has now been replaced by intoxication of our senses with too much of everything - NEW. But see, there's nothing wrong with that. We simply chose it. And it has brought us positive and negative sides (something that appears as strictly positive is pure evil anyways). It's also our choice where the development will be directed to from now on. We just have to realize it's our decision. We can't blame them for offering us crappy shirts that won't last a month or computers that are pink but useless. There is no them, we're all just "us's", as Harvey Milk once said. The fashion industry is a fantastic way to abuse, to take advantage. It's simple. Every single person has his own taste - a thing that can't be taught like knowing a lot about DSLR cameras. It's all you have to know about your potential buyer. Taste is also an easy thing to manipulate. It's commonly affected by society, time, life experience, money (or lack of it), our flexibility as a buyer (are we going to go to the next shop to buy a jacket that might not be as good and cheap as the one on the other side of the city - but it's close) and our set of priorties that show on the outside. So if I get this mess together, my conclusion would be: easy fashion is just a consequence of where we are as a society. The overall trend of simple, wearable, fashion that shows few social differences and resembles priorities like a fast lifestyle is just where we are as people of the planet. No real dressing up = sometimes lack of respect for the occasion = reflection of the current social climate = 2011 = changing trends every week = lack of philosophical perspective = lifestyle...

Since I was just a little baby a certain spectre of scents or smells, however you want to put it, has been accompanying me. Grandma's apple pie (cinnamon, vanilla, apples), her Dolce's Blue Water and Kenzo's Flower. Dad's strong colognes: Fahrenheit, Gucci Homme ..my big cousin rushin in dolled up smelling like Boss Orange, Paco Rabanne 1 million.. grandpa's morning anointing ritual, best friend's CK One which I always stole... but every little girl memorizes how her mom smelled like the most.. and she still does.

My mom always had those yummy parfumes like J'adore, Jil Sander Sun, Joop All about eve... so when I turned 17 and my parents asked me about my birthday wish I asked for a parfume which I could only describe, I didn't know it's name or if it really even existed. My mom immediately knew which one I was talking bout. Just like grandma's kitchen, yet sophisticated and without the feeling you have melted sugar all over you. All about eve. Notice the resemblance to my blog's name? I stareted it 5 months after my 17th birthday ;) I still have a half of the bottle of my first All about eve. But in the meantime I realized the parfume didn't smell like I wished it did. No mommy smell! :D It was too sweet, I needed some of the spice dad's Gucci had, or it being so typical as grandma's Kenzo Flower...
So while shopping for dad's cologne I was immediately drawn to CK One but sadly realized, there's no "testosterone" that made it so special. Cuz I'm a girl. And my best friend is a dude. Boo. Ok, leaving, Eva, let's go. Wait! Jil Sander Sun. It's been my mom's parfume for the past few years and the one I was always actually longing for. While the one my mom's been lusting over was All about eve.. aww..sentimental moments much? I guess. So our current family situation is: Mom - Joop All about eve, Eva - Jil Sander - Sun, Dad - Gucci Homme. Like it should be. Cuz daddy ain't changing his Gucci, oh no! :D.

Rebeka and I study pretty much all the time, but we do take some "us" time every day :D This includes lunch, taking a few silly pics and trying not to drown in self pity. So. One busy law student. allaroundeve has been super busy with finals, so now that the bigger part of them is behind we're back on the regualr posting schedule. I went out last night which felt like I'm a person not a robot any more (but that's ok cuz I'm gonna study all summer long anywayz. I swear I'll at least be a good looking robot!). So as I mentioned on my FB page I met slovene fashion bloggers for drinks and a chit chat yesterday. I would lie if I said that the event topped my expectations - I expected a lot and got that exactly. The meetup was held by Nina Štajner and the girls from FLASH shopping guide, which also "provided" gift bags. And since Dior Rouge 796 is the exact lipstick I was eyeing for a while was in the gift bag...*giggles* oooh thank you girls :D.

My belt was looking like golden lace, but I was missing one more flashy accessory. There was this boring pair ob black earrings lying in the bijoux box. Wannabe lace! Bingo. first saw this pic from Pitti Uomo on JAK&JIL and apparently liked it so much I almost thought those were my legs. Lucky me, Zara got moving and made a pair just like the one on the pic. We're talking bout the pants, of course, loafers are a part of my daily causal anywayz. I've probably never told you about my passion nr. 2, or 1, whatever. Interior design. A thing I try not to think about cuz it would, just like creating the perfect dress in my head, occupy me for...quite a while. I could spend hours comparing two lamps in my head, trying to reach perfection, homogeneity between the perfect shade of ocean/neon/turquoise blue and baby pink, creating a look that would appear all-appropriate; a show-room yet a home.. It's kinda hard being me :D. Being impressed by minimalistic (a.k.a. no furniture, kitchen looking too sanitary, a bed and umm that's it) spaces is really not what I do best. Minimalism in it's middle class form acutually makes me sad. So do those overdone homes with heavy brown furniture. And pointless organisation of spaces. And rooms that have no purpose. And rooms that are waaaay too big ("just because we can"). And "dead" corners. Things you would never use. Chairs you would never sit on. Sofas you would never take a nap on, they just don't have that homely energy. But what makes me not only sad but angry, too are ready-to-live homes. You know, they build appartment buildings AND furnish them. And then new home owners come in and start the oooh it's sooo beautiful speach. No it's not. And even if it was, all it says is that it was designed by a computer. Every human being has a different taste and desires. So if you simply ADOOORE (common blogger expression) it, it souvent means you just haven't looked close enough. I bet you if you had to live it this BEAUUUUTIIIFUUUL appartment it would drive you crazy after a week. The cutlery wouldn't fit in your hand correctly. You'd have trouble sleeping in that enormous bed. Too much grey in the bathroom. You could change the doors, huh?

But I'm not gonna judge (a little too late for that :D). There are spaces that you could work with, right? Let's just say I have a folder of around 10 000 pics on my computer that show stuff I could definitely work with. And then there's this appartment,I maybe could stay in for a week without putting a massive Andy Warhol inspired piece of my grandpa on a wall or abusing the bathroom with some black+white stripes. People, meet Lenny Kravitz's apparment. A fine taste in art + good looks + that damn talent - 15 years - a daughter = can I move in?
